My apologies for the delay in this review, due to my laptop being out of commission — certainly not an indication of dissatisfaction!
The Spitting Pig made my husband’s Big-0 birthday celebration a huge success. Alex and Graham were prompt, professional and personable, and the food was fantastic! As well as the pig itself, there were many compliments on the chicken and vegetable skewers, and the halloumi and vegetable skewers. My only complaint is that there was no crackling left, which just goes to show how good the food was (and how much our friends love crackling). Thank goodness Alex slipped me a bit before the hoards descended.
Seriously, it all went perfectly. The team showed up, did their job, produced great food, served it up, cleaned it up, neatly packaged up the leftovers (not much), and said goodbye, leaving everything spotless. My husband has always wanted a hog-roast party, and you provided the best! Our guests loved it and many took business cards.
Another bonus was that all of the plates, forks, etc. were eco-friendly, so no guilt about single-use items. Most of all, I appreciate the fact that it was all seamless and — for once! — I was able to enjoy my own party instead of being run off my feet.

We had a really fantastic party – the weather gods were with us. Dohnis was great at communicating ahead of the event, and kept me posted as he and Paul battled the traffic on the M25 as they did have a long way to come. But they got here right on time, set up quickly without any fuss or bother, and were a joy to deal with and were so good with all the guests. The food was really fabulous, and they also cleared up very nicely and took away a lot of rubbish which was a hugely appreciated.

The Hog Roast was absolutely incredible. We were so impressed with Alan / Alun and his team.
Before the big day I had a call to confirm the vegetarian option was either veggie kebabs or to my surprise Jack Fruit. All the vegetarians were super impressed with the Jack Fruit option.
After arriving and setting up, they took the time for my little boy to check out the pig and his inquisitive nature meant there was a host of questions to follow too which they took in great spirits. They then had to deal with a bunch of middle aged men after a few pints hungry and looking for some delicious food to soak it all up. Not sure what would have been easier to deal with…
Food was on time and exactly when I had asked for it to be ready, Very plentiful too. The hog was simply delicious and as Alan had said to me, “you lot made a good job of that” I believe there was very little left!
What was really great though was the variety of different wraps & buns, including Brioche, seeded, white, brown – you get the picture…you guys had it completely covered for us. It was so good and I can’t wait to recommend you for other events. Professional; great quality food; super service; and discreet too.
