With temperatures creeping into the high twenties (and low thirties!), the UK was hotter than the Caribbean last week. And with everyone keen to make the most of the sun’s gorgeous, golden rays, Hog Roast Willesden was rushed off their feet with a stream of bookings!
Our catering manager, Alex, was in charge of juggling the needs of these events during the week, one of which took us a little way outside of the area we usually cover. This particular celebration was an impromptu family get-together, which had been organised by Reece.
With the aim of throwing an unforgettable party for his loved ones, Reece had come to Hog Roast Willesden looking for a delicious menu with appropriate dishes for all age groups. And at that, Alex had suggested our Gourmet BBQ Menu, which delivers an irresistible combination of classic barbeque elements with a tantalising twist. The twist being that all of the ingredients we use to create our epic menus are responsibly sourced from award-winning British farms, which exclusively rear free-range animals.
The freshness of our ingredients, paired with the culinary skills displayed by Hog Roast Willesden’s highly-trained chefs, always makes for a sublime meal. And when the time came, Reece and his guests were blown away by the out-of-this-world flavours that our team had prepared for them.
Between the succulent chicken kebabs, juicy beef burgers, mouth-watering sausages and meaty spareribs – not forgetting the vegan BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls – Reece’s guests had no trouble finding something to their liking. And with fresh and delicious side salads, gourmet coleslaw and mixed fries also on the menu, there was plenty of food to keep everyone occupied all afternoon.
The group were having a splendid time, munching away on the tasty grub, when Reece asked for everyone’s attention. With all eyes on him, he dropped to one knee in front of his long-time girlfriend, Sara, and asked for her hand in marriage! Sara, who was too shocked to speak, nodded her answer, which resulted in a wave of loud cheers and whistles from the guests. To celebrate their engagement, Reece popped a bottle of champagne, which Hog Roast Willesden’s catering staff poured and served to the jubilant guests!
