Did you know that there are more than 130 independent private schools in the area of Greater London alone? Well, neither did we until quite recently!
You see, a few weeks ago we were approached by Kat, who, as the head teacher at one of these institutions, informed us that because there are so many options out there for parents, she, and other schools like hers, have to do something to stand out and grab people’s attention.
One way Kat engages with the community and encourages new pupils to join her school is by hosting an open day each year. These events take place in the evening and give parents and prospective pupils the chance to tour the school grounds and classrooms, meet faculty members and students and listen to talks on the current curriculum.
For Kat, this has proven to be a successful method of getting new sign-ups, and with more room in the budget for this year’s event, she decided to take things to the next level by hiring a professional catering service to serve a memorable meal. This, of course, is where Hog Roast Enfield comes into the picture.
Our team, led by catering manager Alex, was chosen to handle this event and couldn’t have been more thrilled about it! Kat was a pleasure to work with and was keen to take on board Alex’s suggestions, which led her to choose our Alfresco Menu for the occasion.
This extremely popular dining solution, which centres around a traditional hog roast, proved to be an excellent choice for Kat’s event. After hours of lovingly slow-roasting the pork and preparing side salads, mixed fries and coleslaw to go with it, our team served this flavour-packed banquet to the 125 guests.
The fresh and flavoursome food was an instant hit, so much so that some people even enquired about our cooking process! Hog Roast Enfield was happy to share the details, meanwhile, other guests picked away at the antipasti boards, which offered an abundance of Italian meats, cheeses, olives, sun dried tomatoes and artisan bread.
Kat was especially pleased with how well Hog Roast Enfield’s caterers conducted themselves at the event, and with plenty of food to go around, everyone was relaxed and, therefore, receptive to Kat’s pitch.
