Jack and his fiancé both have summer birthdays, so they didn’t want to also have a summer wedding and cram everything into one season. Instead, they planned to get married in October and enjoy a wonderful autumn wedding with a cosy reception and a beautiful ceremony. For the reception, the couple hired a local function room and decorated the venue with plenty of seasonal décor, using a colour scheme of orange and brown. Hog Roast Edmonton had been hired to cater for the occasion and the couple chose our delicious alfresco menu. This is always a classic at weddings and tastes good all year round, as the warming main course leaves guests feeling more than satisfied!
The alfresco menu begins with a delicious sharing starter of gourmet cheese, sliced meat, fresh salad, and crusty bread. This is a very trendy way to open the meal and includes plenty of dishes for everyone to choose from.
Following this is the main course, which is a classic Hog Roast Edmon
ton meal. The guests can enjoy a slow-roasted hog, served with sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, homemade applesauce, roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and homemade gravy. This creates a delicious and varied main meal that is perfect for enjoying on a breezy autumn evening.
