Hog Roast Brent Cross served some royally good lunches over the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend earlier this month! Customers and clients, both old and new, had approached us looking for delicious dining menus to impress their guests with, and our team were more than happy to oblige.
The 4-day celebration took us all over North London, and we even catered for some events outside our usual area as well! One of these events was a corporate affair, which was hosted by pub owner Paul.
For the special occasion, he had decked out his bar with red, white and blue bunting, balloons and British flags. He had also put together a special Jubilee-themed pub quiz, which was full of trivia questions about the royal family with some great prizes to be won for those who were up to scratch with their knowledge of the monarchy.
Unsurprisingly, Paul’s event had garnered a lot of interest online, and eager to give his ticket holders an amazing time, he called up Hog Roast Brent Cross and asked for us to serve our Classic Hog Roast Menu at the celebration. Alex, our catering manager, was really excited to help Paul with this event, and on the day of the party, he and the team rose bright and early to make sure everything was ready in time for the guests’ arrival.
After setting up our cooking equipment in the beer garden, Hog Roast Brent Cross immersed the pig in a deep layer of homemade savoury sage and onion stuffing before leaving it to sizzle and spit its way to perfection for around 6 hours. Meanwhile, they prepared the applesauce, side salads, mixed fries and coleslaw. After that, they roughly chopped some fresh vegetables and Greek halloumi cheese, which were added to a skewer and grilled over a low flame before being served to vegetarians and vegans with tzatziki dip and flatbreads.
The food was served from 2 pm until 4 pm alongside Paul’s Jubilee inspired cocktails and other boozy drinks, which put the guests in a great mood! The hog roast rolls that Hog Roast Brent Cross served were fresh and full of flavour, which had everyone queuing up for seconds!
